3: They Created their own Websites

The following sample pages are taken from the very first websites done by my tutorial participants:

The following shows Dorothy's Penang Trip write-up, and Bernard's personal info.

Anthony's antzweb is shown below:

This one is from Regina recording her Tour to Europe:

The next is Cedric's Business website:

Then there's one from 12-year old Maryann.

Well, come to think of it: their efforts are certainly better than the first website I did when Internet first appeared in the early 1990's!

2: IT Tutorial on Creating a Website

This tutorial, held on 19 Sep 2009, attracted 42 participants. Assisting me to conduct the session were Eric, a former HOD/IT and Suat Hui, a former Sr IT Instructor from MOE.

We went online to webs.com to create an account to demonstrate how the process could be done, and proceeded to create sample pages of the website.

A Q&A session followed the demo.

The participants would do a follow-up to create their own website at webs.com when they got home.

1: IT Tutorial - Creating a Slideshow/VCD/DVD

My first IT Tutorial at Pentecost Methodist Church was held on 13 Jun 2009 followed by a repeat tutorial on 20 Jun. Each learning session attracted 20 attendees.

Assisting me to conduct the tutorial was Eric, my former HOD/IT when I was a school principal.

The purpose of the tutorial was to enable the participants to create a slideshow using Windows Movie Maker and Memories on TV, and burning it on VCD/DVD as the case may be.
